What We've Been Up To....

I know, I know, I know. I'm a really bad blogger. But can you blame me? After I spend all day behind a computer at work, the ABSOLUTE LAST thing I want to do is come home and get back on the computer. I still look at all of your blogs during my lunch breaks, but my computer network at work won't let me make comments on your blogs. (Commenting gets blocked as some sort of "on-line chat.") So anyways. I just wanted all of you out there in blogger-land to know that we are alive and well and we are still keeping tabs on what is going on with you and your lives.

So this is what we've been up to in the 3 months and 1 week since I last posted....

For my 27th birthday Sam surprised me with a fancy evening out. We went to dinner at Piropos, a fancy Argentine restaurant, and then to see the Broadway production of The Lion King. Sam and I have been to several Broadway musicals, including Wicked, but I'd have to say Lion King was my favorite, hands down!

Here we are, all dressed up for our evening out.

For Halloween this year I dressed up in my default costume - Pippi Longstocking. I had more people tell me they loved my hair that night that I've ever had in my entire life. Since I got so many compliments, I'm thinking I'll start wearing pokey braids more often. :-)

Sam has gotten really involved in his Tae Kwon Do class.

He is up to his purple belt now, but these pictures were taken a few months ago when he got his orange belt (or his "o-rain-gey" belt as his instructor pronounces it).

As for me, I've been keeping my free time busy with crafting, as usual. A few months ago a friend taught me how to knit, so I've been getting really into that. Here are a couple of pics of some of my completed projects:

I even knitted myself this sweater!

I do love knitting now, but I still haven't given up on jewelry making. Here are some pics of my latest designs:

So good to hear from you! Are you coming to Boise for any holidays? Maybe we'll have better luck with lunch this year. :) But even if it is just the two of us I wouldn't want to miss it.

When I saw that you updated I was super excited! I totally understand that the last thing you want to do is be on the computer AGAIN after you get off of work, but it was great to see an update.

Looks like you guys have been busy. Purple belt? Congrats Sam! Your knitting looks awesome! You have such talent in the crafts area. I've tried my had at beads and knitting and never really liked the turnout. Keep it up girl.

We're coming through that way on our trip back west December 19 or 20. Will you guys be around?

Take care, Lacey. Miss you!

I agree with the rest of the people that commented, you are full of talent!! I have to admit, I'm a bit envious of your craftiness, I just don't have the knack for crafts. You're amazing!

Ok, so your Pippi Longstocking costume totally reminded me of the Hawl our freshman year of college. I still laugh at how crazy and funny we went with our costumes and how the other girls went sexy looking. Good times!! I love ya girl!!

Hi Lacey! I found your blog through Jenn's. I'm so glad I can catch up on your life. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage but when the time is right, it will happen. Love ya!

P.S. Love all your jewelry. But where's the PINK? :)

You are seriously super talented. I can't believe those darling hats and booties and sweater! It looks like you and Sam are keeping busy and having fun. I hope we get to see you again soon. We move December 20th to San Diego so if you ever want to come to Sea World, you've got a place to stay.

If you lived closer I would be paying you to knit me awesome clothes for my kid and myself and make me some of your beautiful jewelry.
